A practicum is a course of study for a particular set of people which is designed to give them supervised practical application of a previously or concurrently studied theory.
The African school on internet governance (AfriSIG) includes this practical hands on component which will run throughout the four days. This will culminate in a mock international multistakeholder meeting which has to take a decision related to the practicum topic.
